Foresight Healthcare was founded in 2016 by Dr Shamsuddeen Aliyu. Dr Aliyu was shocked by the growing number of Nigerians travelling abroad in search of better healthcare services, which is not unconnected to the dilapidated nature of the healthcare facilities in Nigeria.
He thought of how he can be part of the changes he wants to see in the Nigerian Healthcare System and how Nigeria can benefit from this giant industry. To understand the entire system of medical tourism, Foresight Healthcare Limited started with Medical travel facilitation, which gives the company an advantage to understand the entire value chain of Medical Tourism.
The goal of Foresight Healthcare is to provide exceptional Healthcare Services to all our patients and at the same time, making Nigeria one of the top medical Tourist destinations.
Nigeria should be among the top beneficiaries of medical travel business, given our position in West Africa. As of 2019 the global medical tourism market was valued to be 77 billion USD. Nigeria loses nearly 2 billion US dollars annually to medical tourism.
To achieve the goal of providing quality Healthcare services in Nigeria, Foresight Healthcare has continuously extended its operations into various aspects of the Healthcare Industry.
Since creation, Foresight Healthcare has accomplished a lot within its growing line of activities. We have facilitated medical trips for many people across the globe, supplied and installed medical equipment's to many public and private healthcare facilities across Nigeria.
Foresight Healthcare Ltd has recorded tremendous successes over the years. We Organized our first Annual Workshop in 2018 which was a 2 day program at Stonehedge Hotel, Abuja with participation of over 70 medical professionals across the country among whom are: Professor Babatunde Lawal Salako (DG Nigerian Institute of Medical Research), Professor Abdulmumini Hassan Rafin-Dadi (Pioneer Vice Chancellor Kogi State University) and Professor Bello O. Shaibu (Current Provost College of Health Sciences) among others.
We have also recently commissioned our first Specialist Clinic and Diagnostic Centre in Abuja, Nigeria of which we envision to have a network of these centres and the hospitals across the country in the near future.
Lastly, we are currently working on establishing a 155 beds Hospital and a World Standard Diagnostic Centre in Abuja, three other PPP projects which includes provision of one MRI Scanner and 2 CT scanners to Public Hospitals.
